Derek Wright & Roy Wheeler
The magical story of star crossed lovers, overly ambitious homespun clowns and misadventures with the fairies. The action begins at the court of Theseus, Duke of Athens, and later moves to the mystical forest inhabited by Oberon and Titania, king and queen of the fairies. Through it all strides the comic figure of Bottom and his troupe of players attempting to rehearse the dramatic story of Pyramus and Thisbe in celebration of the Duke's forthcoming wedding. The play was produced by Redbridge Stage Company on behalf of Redbridge Theatre Guild and had previously been produced by RSC in 1987 |
