Redbridge Stage Company
We have been entertaining audiences at the Kenneth More Theatre, Ilford, Essex since January 1975 but the group name first saw the light of day in 1972. The RSC was formed from an amalgamation of Tempest Productions (which started in 1963) and the drama section of Ilford Operatic and Dramatic Society (IODS)

Our repertoire is broad and varied and has encompassed a range of plays, comedies, thrillers, the classics, musicals, literary adaptations and farces. We are proud to have mounted a number of amateur premieres of modern works.

The cast of Last Tango In Whitby (2003) contemplates the sheer size of the RSC repertoire!

 Recent critical acclaim

"Redbridge Stage Company presented an assured version of Bennett's plaudit-heaped play...The boys' ensemble worked very well...Directed with a keen and experienced eye by Christine Keates, it was well cast ...This is a fine piece that played well in Redbridge Stage's hands"

(The History Boys - June 2009)

"Director Liz Calnan didn't need to do much coaxing to elicit strong performances from her talented cast, and she kept the action taut and well paced.....The four (actors) ratcheted up the tension, almost to breaking point, and there were audible sighs from the audience at crucial moments in the action ...This play is well written, observed and exquisitely plotted and Redbridge Stage did it justice."

(Audience With Murder - February 2009)

"Redbridge Stage Company came up with a lively production of this piece. Phil Allinson delivered a gem of a performance ...director Chris Keates kept the action moving along swiftly"

(Rumours - December 2008)
