A comedy set on the stage of a provincial theatre. Moon and Birdboot, the critics, sit, watch and comment upon a country house whodunnit as it unfolds. Using every cliche in the book, Stoppard ruthlessly explores the murder mystery genre and then introduces a fateful piece of audience participation that has very unexpected and even deadly consequences.

A comedy set on the stage of a provincial theatre. The Gosports, a pair of old school life long luvvies and their troupe, stirlingly marshalled by stage manager Jack Wakefield, rehearse their version of Romeo and Juliet as they embark on a theatrical tour. However all is not well on stage and real life also has a habit of intruding meaning that soon chaos ensues.
